Dr. Dunahugh had a strong desire to join a reputable AAHA practice in the South Metro.  After reading our ad for a full-time DVM, she was very excited and thought she might have finally found the practice that she had been looking for.  She is very interested in a long term commitment to a practice that has high standards and superb relationships with their clients.

Veterinary medicine is a second career for Dr. Dunahugh and she is a 2008 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.  Prior to going to vet school she was active in leading training classes at Bloomington Obedience Training Club teaching Puppy Kindergarten and Puppy Plus Agility.  She also volunteered to teach Basic Animal Rescue Training to firefighters and first responders, covering animal restraint, first aid and CPR.
Dr. Dunahugh was an Associate Veterinarian at Wolff Animal Hospital from 2008 – 2009. In 2009 she joined the staff of Bright Eyes and Bushy Tails Animal Hospital and Emergency Veterinary Services in Iowa City, IA.  This nine doctor AAHA general practice, referral and emergency service hospital serves a large area in eastern Iowa. Here she was able to fine tune her skills in general practice, surgery and dentistry.
A lover of Samoyeds, the breeding, the training and competing is something Robinette has a passion for.
Dr. Dunahugh is excited to meet all of the wonderful clients and pets that come to River Valley Veterinary Service.  We feel confident that you will enjoy her personality and her skills and knowledge of veterinary medicine.
